DAY 01 : ARRIVAL AT COLOMBO | COLOMBO (Approx. 45 mins)

Arrive in Colombo and welcome by KARUSAN TRAVELS Representative. Then transfer to Colombo.

Overnight stay at The Kingsbury or five star hotel located in-between Galle Face Green, the World Trade Centre and the Dutch Hospital Precinct.

DAY 02 : COLOMBO | SIGIRIYA | DAMBULLA (Approx. 4 hours)

Leave for Dambulla. En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

Overnight at Jetwing Lake or similar hotel.

DAY 03 : DAMULLA | ANURADHAPURA (Approx. 1 ½ hours)

After breakfast, you will first uncover the beauty of Sigiriya Rock Fortress, visit the 5th century old Sigiriya Rock Fortress and spice garden at Matale to see varieties of spice plantation and purchase as a locally grown souvenir. * SIGIRIYA * – is a “World Heritage Site” and the 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the Island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the Palace on the summit of the 600-foot high rock. On its summit are the foundations of the Royal Palace, Water Tanks to supply water and all other buildings and at the edges the guardhouses. On one of the stairways the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of Frescoes of 21 life sized damsels still shining in their original colors. The Water Gardens, Fountain Garden, Summerhouses, Boulder Gardens and the Caves within the enclosed area should not be missed.

You will travel then to the historical city of Anuradhapura. The ruins of Anuradhapura are one of South Asia’s most evocative sights. The sprawling complex contains a rich collection of archaeological and architectural wonders. After visit Mihinthale Rock which is an area of religious and archaeological value. then, you will visit the Sri Maha Bodhi tree, the sacred Bodhi tree is central to Anuradhapura in both a spiritual and physical sense. Here you will also see the pillars of the brazen palace also visit Samadhi Buddha statue, Ruwanveli Seya, Thuparama Dagoba. Finally, you will return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 04 : HABARANA | DAMBULLA | MATALE & KANDY (Approx. 3 hours)

Start the day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel before setting off to Kandy. Along the way, you will visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, the beautiful Royal Rock Temple complex sits about 160m above the road in the southern part of Dambulla. Five separate caves contain about 150 absolutely stunning Buddha statues and paintings, some of Sri Lanka's most important and evocative religious art. En route visit spice garden in Matale.

DAY 05 : KANDY

After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel to the Temple of the Tooth, it is the holiest Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka & located in the city of Kandy, the ancient capital of the Kandyan kingdom. After you will have the time to do some shopping in Kandy, where you can fetch a host of souvenirs in wood, copper, silver, and brass at bargain prices. Finally, you will transfer to the hotel and stay the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 06 : KANDY | NUWARA ELIYA (Approx. 3 hours)

After the breakfast at the hotel you will transfer to Nuwara Eliya, en toute visit Royal Botanical Garden. Peradeniya is famous for the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in Asia. 

You will proceed to the Peradeniya Railway Station to catch your train to Nanu oya. After the train journey your guide pick you up and take you to your hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Often referred to as ‘Little England’, this genteel highland community does have a rose-tinted, vaguely British-country-village feel to it, with its colonial-era bungalows, Tudor-style hotels, well-tended hedgerows and pretty gardens. Indeed, Nuwara Eliya was once was the favored cool-climate escape for the hard-working and hard-drinking English and Scottish pioneers of Sri Lanka’s tea industry.

DAY 07 : NUWARA ELIYA | UDAWALAWE (Approx. 4 hours)

This morning you will ready for a get adventure experience. Your guide picks you up and transfer to the National Wildlife Park of Udawalawe. The Udawalawe National Park is an idyllic setting for the nature lover. Boasting of some of the largest populations of wild elephants in the country and a variety of migrant species of birds, along with many other unique flora and fauna.

DAY 8 : UDAWALAWE | RATNAPURA | AHUNGALLA (Approx. 5 hours)

After breakfast you will be travelling to Ahungalla. En route, you visit The Rathnapura gem mines, which produce treasures ranging from crimson rubies to sapphires of all colours. Then you will head to Ahungalla which is famous for beach destination. After arrival you check into the hotel you will be free to rest of the day at leisure. 

Overnight stay at Heritance Ahungalla or similar.

DAY 9 – 12 : AHUNGALLA

Wake up to the glorious sunshine and spend the next 4 days at leisure. This quiet beach town on Sri Lanka’s south-west coast was made for relaxed, take-it-easy holidays.

DAY 13 : AHUNGALLA | AIRPORT (Approx. 2 ½ hours)

After breakfast at the hotel, you travel to the airport for departure.
