Nuwaraeliya
Nuwaraeliya is a town built by nostalgic British planters with beautiful scenery 6187ft above sea level often referred to as “Little England”, this genteel highland community does have a rose-tinted, vaguely British-country village feel to it, with its colonial-era bungalows, tudor-style hotels, well-tended hedgerows and pretty gardens. Most of the day time high country vegetation mist covered hills and cascading waterfalls. Horton Plains National Park is a national park in the highlands of Sri Lanka known as “Maha Eliya” in olden times. Horton plains nature reserve is covers with high winds and mixture of highland forest and wet grassland. This is the only National Park in Sri Lanka where visitors are allowed to take beautiful walks, hiking trails up to the mini World’s End Point, Great Worlds End Point and Bakers Falls through the purple mist of surrounds.
